Privacy notice

Last updated 3 August 2026. Short, because we collect very little.

Who is responsible

Can They Buy? is a product of Sell with Marketing, a B2B marketing and engineering agency based in Mexico, led by Manuel García. Sell with Marketing is the data controller. Contact: hello@sellwithmarketing.com.

What we collect, and why

  • Your store URL and email address, when you submit a scan request. We use them to run the scan and send you the result, and to answer you if you reply. That is the whole purpose. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Anything you write to us by email, kept while the conversation is useful and then deleted.
  • Nothing else, unless you choose it. By default this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from a third-party server — no trackers, no pixels, no fonts fetched from elsewhere; the typeface is served from this domain. There are exactly two deliberate exceptions, and both need an action from you first.
  • If you accept analytics, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and campaigns bring people here. Until you press accept, nothing of Google’s is downloaded — not the script, not a cookie. Decline and the site stays exactly as described above. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s storage in your browser.
  • If you click a buy button, we load Paddle’s checkout at that moment, and Paddle sets what it needs to process your payment. Nothing of Paddle’s reaches your browser unless you start a checkout.

What we do with your store’s pages

The scan reads the same public pages your customers see. We never ask for, and never accept, administrator access to run a scan or a report. Results are kept so we can show you the before and after, and deleted on request.

Who else sees it

Form submissions are received through Netlify, which hosts this site. If you buy something, payment is processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd. as merchant of record — they take your payment details, we never see them, and their own privacy notice governs what they collect at checkout. We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone else, and we do not use it to train anything.

Cookies

We store one item in your browser regardless of your choice: a record of the choice itself, so we do not ask again on every visit. It is stored locally, contains only the words granted or denied, and is never sent anywhere. If you accept analytics, Google sets its own cookies under its own terms; if you decline, it does not, because its code is never loaded.

Advertising and attribution

If you arrive from an advertisement, the link carries an identifier from Google or Meta in the URL. If you go on to buy, we pass that identifier to Paddle with the transaction so we can tell which advertisement produced the sale. We do not store it in a cookie and we do not store it on this site — it travels once, with your purchase, and nothing is written to your browser.

How long we keep it

Scan requests and results: 12 months, or until you ask us to delete them. Records tied to a paid engagement: as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our use of it. Write to hello@sellwithmarketing.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or the UK and are not satisfied, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

Transfers

We operate from Mexico, and our host and payment processor operate in the EU and the United States. Where personal data leaves the EEA it is covered by the safeguards those providers publish, including the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Changes

If this notice changes materially we will change the date above and, where it affects you, say so when we next write to you.
